Racheal Bardell (BSC Hons MChS)

Business Owner & Podiatrist

 

Racheal graduated from the Matthew Bolton College of Podiatry in 1999. She went on to run a public house whilst starting her own private podiatry practice in Kidderminster. Racheal joined the NHS in 2003 as a Band 7 Paediatric Podiatrist.

Since then, Racheal has worked within the NHS whilst running her own private podiatry practice ‘Footnotes UK’ in St. John’s Worcester. She relocated from St John’s in December 2015 to London Road, Worcester. Racheal retired from the NHS in 2016 to focus entirely on expanding Footnotes UK.

As well as podiatry, Racheal has trained in VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Complementary Therapies, Toe Nail Reconstruction, and trained as a medical acupuncturist in Edinburgh.

 

Philippa Ball (BSC Hons MChS)

Podiatrist

Philippa graduated from Northampton University in 1997 and started working for the NHS straight after graduation. She started her podiatry career in London, working at Kensington and Chelsea, and Hammersmith and Fulham hospitals. Philippa specialized in paediatrics, biomechanics, musculoskeletal, acupuncture, and injections. She moved to Worcester in 2000 and has worked in the NHS here ever since.

Philippa has over 20 years of experience working as a podiatrist in the NHS and private sector. Philippa is a Band 8a NHS podiatrist specializing in Biomechanics. Philippa offers a full range of foot and ankle treatments including acupuncture, biomechanical assessment, orthotics, insoles, ultrasound therapy, muscle rehabilitation, nail surgery, and routine foot care.

Dawn Hyam (BSC Hons MChS)

Podiatrist

Dawn graduated with a 1st class honours degree in podiatry in 2008. She received the student of the year award and the Galderma award for Academic and Clinical Excellence. Dawn has attained MSc modules in Wound Care, and Paediatrics Pathologies and Therapies.

Dawn has been a practising podiatrist for the past 16 years, both in the NHS and the private sector.  Dawn is a lead musculoskeletal specialist podiatrist in the NHS. In this role, she is an expert in all aspects of foot and lower-limb function and health. Dawn is highly skilled in assessing, diagnosing, treating, rehabilitating and preventing abnormalities of the feet, ankles and lower limbsDawn has worked with us at Footnotes UK for the past 6 years and runs a regular clinic here. 

Emma Crean (BSC Hons MChS)

Podiatrist

Emma is the newest member of our podiatry team.  She has worked within the healthcare sector for over 10 years. This has proved to be an invaluable experience as it has given Emma the opportunity to develop both personally and professionally. 

Emma graduated from the Matthew Bolton College of Podiatry in 2019 and now works as a Band 6 podiatrist for the NHS 2 and a half days a week. Emma spends the rest of her week doing home visits which she thoroughly enjoys. Our home visit patients are very fond of Emma, she is caring, friendly, and compassionate whilst providing high-quality care to our patients. 

Emma enjoys every aspect of podiatry within the NHS, which consists mainly of general podiatry and nail surgery. Emma also has excellent wound care experience.
